I use bedding for my tray under my hay rack. I was running low so I bought this. I've heard of people using it before and not having problems. I'm not concerned about Mocha but myself. On the back it says it contains wood dust which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is it safe for me and my guinea pigs health?

I use fleece but I use bedding just for the tray. Thank you for the input!

Yeah I know! Haha I read it wrong and thought you were using it for the whole cage. :) No problem.

It seems like California alone knows all about things that can cause cancer, I've seen a lot of "this ____ has been known to cause cancer in the state of California." I doubt the amount of wood dust in this bedding, especially if it's not even in the whole cage, will cause cancer. I mean it certainly could, but then again so could a whole lot of things. I wouldn't worry about it.

Everything caused cancer in California. It looks like store brand carefresh. Perfectly safe just pricy to do a C&C cage with.

Are you buying it from Petco? It's best not to buy anything from pet stores. Don't you have pet supply stores in your area?

We used that bedding for months. It may have wood dust by label but we didn't have dust issues with it. It was lovely and much cheaper than carefesh.
