I'm going to go ahead and start this thread even though I'm not sure what's going on yet. I believe that Fudgie has ovarian cysts. She developed a rapid growing lump on one side and thinning fur. She is eating and running around and acting normal but I see her hunched in pain once in awhile. Just since Friday it has noticeably gotten much worse. I was just watching her at the start of the week because I thought it was my imagination.
I'll be calling the vet in the AM as there are not good cavy vets that do ER work. She is 4.5 years old so I don't know if that's to old for surgery or not. I guess it will depend on a risk/benefit discussion. I'm very worried about her. I'm also very concerned with costs as our ER fund has been depleted with one problem after another. I'll keep you posted.
