Also, we're a pro-adoption forum, so do make sure you look at animal shelters, gumtree, guineapigzone and anywhere else you might find pigs up for adoption instead of heading to a pet shop

Welcome to GPC! I'm happy to see you are doing research before acquiring your guinea pigs. Sounds like you are on the right track.

Materials for C&C cages might be hard to find in your country. You can look around this section to see if there are any sources you can find materials.

Grids are nigh on impossible to find these days. You're better off using the Closet Shelving from Bunnings, it's cheaper and powder coated as well which is better than the plastic coated grids off ebay. You can get Corflute from Bunnings as well (in the pre-cut wood section)...actually, you can get everything you need from Bunnings.
Table to put it on, Shelving, Corflute, cable ties and duct tape.

I did a quick search on the Bunnings website and I'm not quite sure which one you're talking about! So if you could send me a picture of the stuff or perhaps even a link, that would be great.
And as for the corflute, that's good to know! I've been searching around for it and didn't think to search for it at Bunnings.

Comes in about 5 or 6 different lengths. These ones are the right length for the side of the cage. If you search 'Clever Closet' on their site you can see the different lengths.

Here you can see them being used in combination with C+C grids.

Yep, lots and lots of Cable Ties (incidentally, Aldi have Cable Ties on special on Saturday, 500pcs for $4.99).

Haha! I noticed that two! They have grids and zip ties right now! I think they want people to make c&cs!
