I have been using carefresh in a litter box/kitchen 1x2 loft. The poop can be smelled after just one day. I currently change it every 2 days but it is costing about $40/month for carefresh. I have not switched to fleece in the kitchen becuase my pigs do most of their business on the carefresh. I am worried if I do change to fleece they will just go everywhere!

For those of you who use fleece in the kitchen, how big of a cleanup do you have to do each day? I am thinking I may have to sweep up hundreds of poops each day and change the fleece in the whole cage several times a week.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I tried fleece in the kitchen and didn't like it. Have you thought of using wood pellets in the kitchen?

I have only tried shavings and stove pellets but I really like the hardwood stove pellets. They are cheap, absorbent and don't smell quickly.
