You will want to make sure they are either the same sex or have been fixed so you don't end up with a bunch of piggies(can get very expensive)!

You might want to take a look at your local shelters or try Petfinder.com to search for guinea pigs in your area. It's great that you are getting two but make sure they are either a same sex pair or one of them is fixed.
