These are the first pigs I've had since my childhood! They are technically family pets, one belonging to each of my daughters, but they are secretly MY babies!

Rosie is the black/white/orange girl. Fritter is the brown/agouti girl.




They are sisters, about a year old. I am very proud and happy to say I got them from Piggy Poo Rescue in Phoenix, AZ. They are tough to catch, but are great lap pigs. They make so much noise, wheeking and purring (I didn't know guinea pigs purred!) whenever we walk into the room. They are the perfect addition to our home!

They are SO fat! I'm being very very conservative about pellets at night, I'm talking less than 1/4 cup total. They get lettuces and a few other veggies once or twice during the day. I feel like I'm not overfeeding them at all but they have gotten so chubs.

Your piggies look very healthy and happy. Your cavies and your girls look like they are both enjoying each others company. Nice to see such happy looking photos. Have you got your girls to start cleaning the cage? We bought an inexpensive dustbuster just for cleaning the cage and our kids love to do it now. They are 7 and 8. Funny how such a cute animal can make kids become more responsible.

I don't think they look fat at all...just chubby and healthy (like a piggy should)!

They're totally adorable, and I'm so happy they found such a good home with you.

Thank you, so much, for rescuing them. You'll be rewarded daily by having the privilege of being their cavy slave! :D
