My guinea pig has suddenly developed cloudiness in one eye, has a a few sneezing fits and a sore on the end of his nose. I don't know what is wrong with him.

Possibly a URI. Take him to a cavy savvy vet ASAP, so you can get it diagnosed and figure out what to do from there.

If you don't have a cavy-savvy vet, find one here.

You should take him to an expert NOW!
He may possibly die in a matter of time, so take him to an emergency vet and have him checked-up. This is the only thing you may do NOW!!!!
the FIRST thing is talk to the vet about that situation immediately

I am planning to get up early to ring them. He is eating OK at the moment and seems quite happy.

He will be fine for the night. A URI isn't an emergency unless the guinea pig isn't eating or drinking or moving around normally. It is, however, important to get to the vet as soon as you can.

Do you have a syringe in case he stops eating and drinking. I think it's always better to be ready in case. I'm sure he'll be fine.

I just remembered you said it's late. Sorry.

He is eating and drinking normally. He always begs for cucumber if he sees me go to the kitchen, and he is still doing that. He seems OK enough for tonight. O, and he has had cucumber so he won't be getting any more so he can beg as much as he likes.

Well it is 2am here and I am off to bed.
Chuggles is munching away and chuntering and seems happy, but I will still ring vet in the morning.
I will let you all know what happens.
Thank you all for your advice.

Thank you. I have an appointment in an hour. Just got to persuade him to get into his carrier. He hasn't been in it before and he is nervous of confined spaces after an incident with a dog before I had him. It is one suitable for his size so hopefully it will be OK.

I'm sure he'll be okay in the carrier since it isn't for very long. I personally wouldn't have put him in it since it's an hour away, but maybe it will help to calm him and realize it's not bad. Maybe you can put a few leaves of wet romaine or a baby carrot. If it's stressing him out too much though, please take him out until it's time to go. I hope everything at the vet goes okay, keep us updated!

Hi all
Well he suddenly developed diarrhea this morning, so I have to keep him off his favourite treat - cucumber, and he has some drops for his eye. They couldn't see the problem because of the clouding, so I need to monitor him for a week and see if it gets any worse
