I know Alfalfa hay is supplemental, but, I am not sure how much should be given at a time and how often. I only give Coco maybe a pinch once a week. Should I not use it at all? Less? More?
Rsponses are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

How old is Coco? Adult pigs don't need alfalfa at all, but a few strands every once in a while is ok as long as they don't have any health problems.

Sorry it took a while to get back. Coco is almost 4 1/2. He will be five on Christmas. He has not had any in almost 3 weeks.

I wouldn't continue to give it to him at his age. Just stick with grass hay.

Oh...Alright. Thanks. I had a 16 oz. bag of it and I just wanted to see if I could still give it to him.

You could probably give him some very rarely like twice a month and little amounts. But the alfalfa has calcium in it which adult pigs are not lacking. Too much calcium could give them stones, as well as other problems, so it's really not worth it.
