every now and then people ask how much coroplast costs, so here is what I paid last time at the place I go to. It's called twinplast and only comes in white, 2.4 metres by 1.2, but they cut it in half for me. I got two sheets for £16.64. Hope that helps someone when trying to estimate cage cost.

I bought mine on line, from e-bay. Tried all the local sign shops etc without success. It is only 2mm thick, so I had to double up, but it came in 8ft by 4ft sheets, in black (with ugly yellow writing on it - some insulation company), and cost me £2.50 per sheet. I bought 10 (?!!), and only recently rolled up the remaining 4, and put them in the attic!

I got mine from a sign store in Ash. I don't remember the name of the place. We called up, ordered a 4' x 8' white sheet for £15, with free delivery the next day.

Someone is selling it on ebay, sheets of 120cm x 80cm - 5 sheets for £10.99 plus 8.50 postage. Quite reasonable I think so I might get me some!

Hi there

I am thinking about building a C&C cage for my two girls, but am not sure where to get the coroplast from. Can anybody post the contact details for a good supplier they have dealt with please?

Thank you.

In UK coroplast is usually called correx, or corrugated plastic.
Suppliers very much depend on where in the country you are.

I guess I was reasonably lucky! I got two 4'x8' sheets for £17 from a small supplier in Kent.

I bought 10 (?!!), and only recently rolled up the remaining 4, and put them in the attic!

I have NO idea how you roll it up - I had some left over and tried to roll it to store but it ended up all bent and useless! Such a waste.

If I remember correctly, it did involve some intricate acrobatics, and 'It's a Knockout' style manoevering!!!lol

I ordered a single 8x4' sheet from https://www.aquariusplastics.co.uk/, based in Guildford, Surrey. They are located near me, and for £15 plus VAT (so £17.60ish) have said they will deliver it to my house and take payment at the door. I don't know how far they would travel to deliver. The only colour they supply in single sheets is white.

I just hope I don't have to wait too long for the cubes to arrive at B&Q. A piece of plastic that large is going to get in the way until I chop and fold it to make the cage!

CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP, CORREX! Gtr Manchester

I tried everywhere for Correx and it was working out at least £30 for two 2x4 with upper levels. Even Ebay was working out expensive. Sign people were quoting me £35 a sheet

By luck I was given a suppliers name and they are brill, I got x2 sheets measuring 2080mm x 1560mm they cut it to my measurements for the 2x4's and gave me all my off cuts which were enough for ramps upper level and houses, etc.

The price was £7.11 per sheet (free cutting) it worked out £16.71 with VAT. They will deliver free to business addressess but they can't to residential areas because people keep complaining about the size of their vans.

I picked mine up and folded it, it fit in my car fine and it looks perfect now.

The details are: Paperco - Europoint Display, 0161 848 5500.
You can pick it up anytime untill 7 I think, they are based in Trafford Park just near the Trafford Centre.

Hope this helps some of you. xx

Anybody looking for coroplast could take a look in wickes instead of coroplat its called polycarbonate twinwall sheeting or something similar.

I had a look on the Wickes website and I think this is it- £7.99 per m.

https://www.wickes.co.uk/invt/246000

Has anyone used this? looks sort of transparent, I wanted white. But then I'll be covering it with stuff anyhow so it doesn't matter.

Wickes - Twin Wall Polycarbonate Sheet

Has anyone used this? looks sort of transparent, I wanted white. But then I'll be covering it with stuff anyhow so it doesn't matter.

Twinwall polycarb is usually used to make the likes of coldframes for gardens. It is 1cm thick and absolutely solid - a stanley knife won't go through it. My uncle, who's an organic gardener, had to saw it.

I think this would be pretty impossible to use for a piggy cage unless you had unrelenting patience.
