My neice received a pet mouse for her birthday, and I was wondering if I could give her one of the cages that my guinea pigs came in?

Mice are tiny creatures. I would think the bars would be too far apart and he may be able to get out.

Mice will fit between the bars of almost any cage that has them. They need plexiglass or plastic sides.

Even an especially made mouse cage is too small for a mouse - when I had mice, my 2 still got through the bars :)

When I had my mouse, I woke up in the middle of the night to find she escaped from my specially made mouse cage! Luckily, she was OK, but I think the guinea pig cage bars would be too big. Google bin cages. They were a LIFE SAVER with my dwarf hamster!
