How many times a day should my guinea pig be sneezing?

No more than 4 or 5 times a day, usually. Violent and consistent sneezing could be a sign of a URI, but the occasional sneeze is OK.

mine sneeze 2-4 times a day. I took them in to the vet, and she said that their nasal passages were congested, but not their lungs. She gave me nasal drops to try, but said that she did not think it was an URI. So, far I have had two different vets tell me further antibiotics will not help that it is probibly allergies/dust (yes, I had their hearts checked). Hope that helps some. :0)

If you have a nice healthy pig they should rarely sneeze at all unless hay dust or bedding dust get trapped in their noses. If your pig is sneezing quite frequently (more than 4-5 times per day), then it would be best to take him/her to the vet for a checkup. Pigs are all too good at hiding illnesses. Sit with them for a few hours and see. When you let them out for floor time would be a good time to sit and listen to them. If you can't do that, then you need to get someone to check on them every hour and just listen to them for 10 minutes to see if they sneeze while they are there.

I have never heard mine sneeze. Occasionally I will hear a cough like once a week but that's it.

I would sit with them on your days off, or in the evenings (or what ever time you are not at work/school). Make sure you listen carefully. If they are sick and sneeze/coughing, you will hear it. If you are not sure, best thing is to get them to a vet and have them checked out. Do they have discharge from their nose or eye (some eye discharge is normal)? Or possible ear mites?

There is no discharge from the eye or nose. I will hold them and for a while and see what happens.

I used to hear my guys sneeze about three times a day. I used to use kiln dried pine. Since I switched to fleece there has been no sneezing!

also could this poosibly be from the smoke for the delta bog fire in b.C. If it was how long would the sneezing last?

I would get her to the vet! Make sure you do it ASAP. G-pigs go down hill fast.
