Not trying to sound rude, but are you sure that she's a texel..? I used to own a Texel, and even at 4 weeks, her hair was much longer and curlier than that! O.o
@Greenbean Hehe, he is quite a snuggly piggy! :O And that would be quite neat if any of the cavies on here were somehow related.
@emeraldamykate D'aww thank you! I love contemplating all sorts of names for any kind of animal, so that's probably why they stand out so much! :silly:
Although I've noticed that he's stopped scratching significantly, I think that I am going to treat him for mites as a precaution. Thank you all so much for your help! It was well needed.
Thank you! And yes, it's quite hard to walk, but the ER doctors say that the best thing for it is to do just that - along with bending down (which works out quite well because of the piggies! ^.^).
@emeraldamykate Aw, thank you!
My day was/is fabulous so far - after all, it is Mother's Day! ^.^
As of right now, Arthur is alseep in his new blue Pigloo (whoo, that rhymed!), and Penelope is chomping away at her veggies (she just realized they were in the cage, heh. As for the new guy (who I've still yet to name...
Checked that last night, and just checked again for a second time to make sure I didn't miss anything. He doesn't seem to have any certain 'spots' or even scabs. Could it just be that it is a habit of his?
Thank you very much to everyone!
He doesn't have anything crawling around, and his coat isn't flaky or anything. He also doesn't seem to be in any pain - even when I touch him. Would this be an indicator for mites still?
Hey everyone!
So my new piggy that I just got today is rather, well..itchy. Like, he keeps on scratching himself every few minutes. I'm wondering if maybe he could have fleas..?
What do you all think? I'd like to hear some opinions before I dish out the money for a vet appointment! :/
Hello everyone!
So, I've just adopted another Guinea Pig, and he's in desperate need of a name! :eek:
He's about 7 months old, and is cute as a button! (If you couldn't already tell by the picture!).
So have at it, please; any sort of name suggestion is welcomed! :optimist:
I bathe Arthur about once a month, and brush him at least once - usually twice - daily. He actually loves the hair dryer! Puts his nose up in the air and everything. :silly:
Because of the daily brushing, he doesn't get many mats in his fur.
