    Parasites lice!!!!

The cost will vary depending on where you get it and what size package you get. I got mine from my vet's office, they sell it over the counter there. (Mine was like $60 (I think) for a box of 4 kitten size treatments - each treatment did 2 of my pigs). You will need to treat all of them with...

    Parasites lice!!!!

Advantage you have to buy a whole box of BUT I had almost over night improvement in my guys when I used it and you don't tend to have to retreat. I think it's probably the most effective treatment for lice (but it only works for lice not mites). Revolution is also effective for both lice and...

Medications I need help with treating mites

https://www.guinealynx.info/mites.html All of the information is here on Guinea Lynx's page. I recommend using topical treatment since it will work if it's lice OR mice (dander makes me think lice personally). What does your vet think is wrong with him?

Adopting Would this be a stupid idea?

3 X 9 is HUGE. I think you'd be alright with 4 boys in there, as you said, worst case senerio you split the cage. BUT be careful about not taking on too many, you know? I would either get the pair OR one eyed boy (you could split off a 3 X 3 part of the cage for him even).

    Behavior Pooping around hidey

They'll pee mostly where their food is but this is totally normal. Mine poop in their hidies like crazy too.

Aggression I need help with aggresive female piggie.

Reintroducing them over and over again can be very very stressful. I would wait until the 21 day mark when you seperate the males and decide who is staying and who is going and then work on reintroductions.

    Adopting Change of Plans

Stacked 3 x 3s would be VERY diffecult to keep clean I think as it would be pretty hard to get to the back of the bottom cage with out the cut out to lean through. And I would worry about the stability of that top corner when it's pointed out. The picture in #4 is exactly what I was...

Injury Guinea pig's nose? Injury or something else?

Spray on conditioners don't work. And bathing pigs with mites/skin issues often aggrevates them rather then improves them. Is there another vet in your area you could try instead?

    Adopting Change of Plans

I would pop out the corner and make the bottom 3 x 3 then give the boys that space. Put the girls on top in the L cage. That accomplished 2 things. 1. there's absolutely NO way the boys can get to the girls so you don't have to worry about covering the tops of both cages which would make them...

Injury Guinea pig's nose? Injury or something else?

I wouldn't wait and see at all. As I said on the other thread, if you suspect fungus or Ringworms you need to go to a vet as soon as you're able because those are things that can spread to the humans in your household as well.

    Conditions Ringworm treatment?

If you suspect ring worm you need to go to a vet ASAP. Not only for your piggies health but your own. You also need to institute very very very strict handling guide lines for all your cavies until they're cleared of it. Use gloves when handling them, and wash throughally before and after, put...

    Do you foster cavies?

I did. And still am open to fostering for my local small animal rescue (though they primarily get rabbits and I can't have them in my apartment where I am now). I failed as a foster mom with my last pair - Buddy and Baby who I ended up adopting because my daughter and I got all attached.

    General Drinking so much

I would also make sure the bottle's not leaking, put a little dish under it and see if any water collects in it. If it's not you probably want to get her to the vet. Excessive drinking is a symptom of a few things - diabetes, kidney and bladder problems, pregnancy.

    Vegetables Next?

Zucchini's also a good every day veggie to start to introduce early.

    How Many? Single one out?

THere are several links from the site that explain why school environments are NOT suitable for guinea pigs. I would highly recommend you find alternate arrangements for the Guinea Pigs in a home not a school.

found maybe 2 day old kitten in road.

I've hand raised kittens before from newborn, you're best off contacting a rescue that specializes in this. (Here we have specific kitten rescues that have a network of fosterhomes that specialize in hand rearing newborns). Other wise you need to be available 24/7 (and I mean at ALL hours) to...

    Henry and Lady

Wow. I don't know if I'm more offended by this as an animal owner or a parent. I'm sorry for your children, being exposed to such an absolutely ignornat "lesson" on procreation. I'm sorry that they'll take home the message that it's okay to recklessly throw together two beings recklessly...

    Rabbits neutering

Actually rabbits are routinely neutered and should be fixed, companions or not for both health and behavioral reasons. If you have an exotic vet this shouldn't be a problem at all. If not, contact a local rescue and find out who they use? At the local small animal rescue we have all our...

Allergies I don't *have* allergies, but I do have a problem

They'll learn to love the orchard grass. I have the exact same reaction if I touch cut grass on the lawn, it's an allergy.

C&C Alternatives Shinku and Suigin-tou need a cage...

Some boars fight when they smell females, some don't. You'd have to try it to see how yours react. But you have to make sure the males cages are VERY secure to keep them from getting to the females if they're near eachother.
