Parasites Lice or mites? And why are they only on my piggy's butt?!

As far as I know, only lice. I have not seen him scratching, there is no hair loss or redness. I am pretty sure he has a lot of knits on his butt, and I did see some bugs walking around. He doesn't seem distressed.

Parasites Lice or mites? And why are they only on my piggy's butt?!

My long hair piggy had lice/mites when I got him, and I treated that with Ivermectin. He got them again after that, and I treated those with Ivermectin also. Now he has them again! Except now they are only on his butt! How do I tell the difference? What am I supposed to do, and why are they only...

    Injury Limping with front leg

Yesterday my guinea pig started limping with his front leg. I felt it to feel if anything was broken and it feels fine, and he will use it to pull himself up on the grids when I walk by. He doesn't squeak when I touch his shoulder and foot either. He will put a small amount of weight on it when...

    Parasites I'm freaking right out!

What is Ivomec? I wouldn't inject anything into my piggy to get rid of lice. When my piggy had lice, I used Ivermectin. You put a drop or so behind their ears. It seems like a better idea than injecting to me.

Carefresh "Confetti" - safe or not?

I am not sure, but in my personal opinion, I don't think dyes would be good for the piggies. I wouldn't use it.

I'm not sure what else I can do to stress this enough.

Maybe you could ask her if she would be willing to sell them, and if she is, you could ask around your friends, see if any of them would like piggies.

    Walmart and piercings

I have had my ears pierced at Claires, (only the lobes) and they got infected, so I had to let them close up. The second time I got my ear lobes pierced was by my Grandma with a needle and a piece of apple and ice cubes, and I haven't had a problem since. I'm not sure if you can pierce ear...

You know you're a slave when

Or does that mean you're just used to it?:)

You know you're a slave when

When you don't freak out when you find a piece of their poop on your bed, just flick it off and go to sleep.

Mites mite infestation suspected--who to treat?

When my piggy had lice we used ivermecten and it worked wonderfully. They were gone by at least the 4th or 5th day. Check thoroughly through the fur for little white bugs. I'm not sure what you do for mites, but if it is lice i reccomend ivermecten.

Bonding How to bond two male piggies together?

When my sister and I introduced our two males, we did a buddy bath and then let them run around for a while. After a while we put them in their clean cage and watched them the rest of the day. They were fine for months, but one day when we went upstairs there was a little blood on the fleece and...
