Oswald in the new cozy - Guinea Pig Cages

I made these by modifying directions from the forum. I used 1: foam, rather than batting. It holds up great in the wash, and is sturdier. This one is cotton fabric and lined with fleece. It has an inner removable pillow that is also cotton one side and fleece on the other.

They are not that "rare". They are somewhat uncommon, as they should be. It's not a mutation that should be bred for. Hairless guinea pigs (mine are "skinny pigs" which have hair only on their faces and feet) are prone to a lot of health problems.

I love the cozy and the piggy! A bit of a random question, can they cat sunburnt when they're outside? Do you have to take extra precautions with them since they have no hair for protection?

They absolutely are prone to sunburn, and they need to be kept out of direct sunlight because of that.
