) hehe well I was just thinking that i've heard of alot of people using fleece as their beddings but i haven't actually seen pictures of it in use. can someone show me some pictures, or point me in the right direction? TIA!

look for pictures in the photo gallery by a user named "Dacourt". "Furkidsmommy" uses fleece as well, and has some nice pictures.

I thing MybabyMu uses fleece too.

l2t this is angel old name angeldjscavies. I decided to do a new name and I like this one better.

My Joey has a fleece lined cage.

mm... I am thinking to line my 2nd level with fleece instead of bedding so they don't kick it everywhere, is it easy to clean? and what about hay, would it get stick on it?

I have fleece on both the floors. (my cage has been modified again). I have the hay on the 2nd floor. I put it in a small kitty litter pan about 2 1/2 inches deep. It's the one in the pictures. I also line the pan with newspaper for easy clean up. When it is time to change the fleece. I roll it up and then take it outside and shake it. My boys don't usually leave much on it though.

I really really like using fleece. I use both in different cages. My fosters are all on fleece, and my own pigs are on pine/carefresh for now until I can get some more fleece. I do laundry every two days or so, not as much as I thought. I use cardboard under the fleece for now until I get some more coroplast, and it works great and hides the odor. Just a coupld tips for you! I like the dryer sheet idea too!!

really ccm????????? you love fleece?

im sad to say but i hated fleece after 2 days the smell was so horrible i had to through it out and i only have a small pig in that cage

Oreo33...how were you using the fleece? Were you using towels as well. Fleece won't absorb any wetness so if you have towels under it, the pigs stay dry and the wetness is absorbed. This eliminates a lot of the odor. The dryer sheets really help as well. We have no odor.

mm... I used fleece on the second level, somehow the fleece don't absorb and thing and create a pool of pee on the surface. is it usally like that? or it's just the kind of fleece I used.

It's probably the kind of fleece. I have never had that. Are you using cotton or polyester?

Dacourt-
How large is your cage?
How many piggs do you have in your cage?
You use fleece with what else?

I am thinking of switing to fleece in one cage, because these particular piggies kick bedding everywhere, and because I think it would be warmer for winter.

NOTE...no matter how many times I try...I can't get the lines to save correctly. I hope you can see what I was trying to do.

Our fleece is quilted. We have one layer of fleece, then a thick towel, and another layer of fleece. We sewed it all together, and then one seem down the middle to keep it all in place. We have 2 sets so we always have one ready when we need to change it. We sweep or vacuum the poop every day. We change the fleece quilt about every 4 days. They do a lot of their peeing in the hay bin, which is a small cat little pan lined with newspaper and changed daily.

I use thoses ploar blanket fleece, I think it is polyester. I just changed it this morning, it doesn't smell much, and it quite easy to clean, I just wash it, and most of the stuff just wash right off. After I washed the blanket fleece, I put down some jogging fleece on, I hope that would absorb better.

I'm offering fleece and towel liners, if anyone ins interested. I'll do the sewing for you and it looks real nice. :D

I just experimented with fleece today. And it was disgusting! It was one layer of fleece with a newspaper lining underneath. My pigs pooped everywhere. It was horrible and it started to stink so bad. And I have a question about crib-pads... Do you put the water-proof side upright? If you don't then doesn't the crib-pad start to smell with the fleece side?
Thanks for answering my questions in advance.

Ok, heres my fleece story. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is absolutely no odor and the top is completely dry as a doorknob within a few minutes. i have a crib pad underneath and its is working great. i onle change about 2-3 time a week and i love it i love it I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

How does a crib-pad work? Doesn't it let the pee puddle on top?
