This morning my guinea pig was out at playtime on a sheet and she pooped and some yellowish-green discharge came out of her bum. Sorry if TMI. I'm really concerned. It only happend once, I'm worried because we just got Capone a new little sister yesterday her name is Brooklyn and I have no idea what this could be. Has anyone experienced this before? She doesn't have diarrhea or anything like that and she is fully recovered from her URI so she no longer is taking the medication

It could be something she ate... Are you sure it came out of her bum and not her vagina? If it came out of her vagina it could be serious, and you she take her to the veterinarian. Have you fed her something differently lately? Has she been drinking and eating normaly?

She has been eating and drinking normally. and we haven't changed any of her food

Actually now that I'm thinking of it, my husband just put a little bread tunnel into her cage and she has been biting on the sides, we took it out now.

Hmm... I wonder if it is a cecal poop that she decided not to eat? You said it was a discharge, though? So, it wasn't the actual poop that was green?

edit: I have no idea what a "bread tunnel" is but it certainly doesn't sound gp friendly. Good thing you took it out!

Well she was running around and next to my husband she pooped and and noticed that there was some green weird stuff that was like liquidy but thick on her poop and when we were getting ready to take sheet off to wash it we noticed that there was some more of it.. and it's just a tunnel that is made from dried bread.
