Yay! New piggie!

I have a new piggie from a person who couldn't take care of an extra pig. She's 3 years old and a cutie! She's also a long haired pig and her hair slightly covers her eyes, do I have to cut it for her to see? Anything about longhaired piggies would be much appreciated.

Oh yeah, she's also being quarantined for the moment and I forgot if it was two or three weeks. She's in my bedroom and Lily, my short haired, is in my living room.

Congradulations! She should be quarintined for three weeks. Long haireds need brushing up to every day, and need periodical trimming. If you think she is having trouble seeing, cut the hair.

I have a long haired pig. I have to cut her hair on her but freuently, it grows so fast. Be careful though, use blunt tipped scissors. I also had to give her a bath recently but it didn't take the color out of her white hair. I think I am actually going to have to cut her all around because her hair drags on the floor when she walks. They are so cute, the long haired ones!

Aww, I've decided to call her Rose or Rosie, and she popcorned today while I was feeding her lettuce! I also have another question, should I take her to the vet at the beginning of quarantine or the end, before I introduce them? Thanks so much to everyone that answered my questions. For those with long haired piggies, how often do you bathe them?
