I finally sat down and presented my parents all the information I've been gathering for the past two months on here....and they said YES!!!!!

I'm getting a pig! (actually, two pigs) FINALLYY! I am soooooooooooo happy!

I have to go now, we're off for supply shopping!

it will be two sows, and we will offcially start looking for the pigs next weekend. Until then, we are going to be buying supplies and setting up the cage.

the original plan was for the cage to be in my room, btu now my parents are getting kinda excited about it too, so its gonna go in the family room! better for the pigs!

we just came back from a shopping trip. We got fleece for bedding and cozies, crib pads for bedding, foodbowls, and we set up the cage in grids(no corplast yet)

I cant wait till they come home!

Its great that your family has taken intrest. You and your family will absolutly them. My mom likes them, but we have 3 dogs (kept downstairs by a babygate), 2 cats in the back bedroom who never leave that room, a fish and the 2 gp's. The boys are my pets. They are in my room, but im up there alot so they get lots of attention. Congrats!!!

Thanks! Yeah, my parents said the convincnig element was all the research (the entire speech was 56 minutes long - I timed it during practice) they were really impressed and figured that if i ws willing to do that much work just to get one, that i'd be a pretty good mom.

Check on craigslist.org under pets for folks looking for homes for their piggies. People remodeling, going away to school, whatever... You can find folks in your own area.

I adopted all of my piggies this way.

It was the same with me. At first they were not sure because they thought that I wasn;t responsible enough. As soon as I started researching and telling them information, they realised that it wouldn't be a bad idea.

we are going out to buy the coroplast and food this week. All the other stuff we mostly haave. We are planning a roadtrip for this weekend in which we are going to visit all the big shelters in all of Oregon. I can't wait!!!
