Ooo. I like that design too. It should work. It's 100% Polyester isn't that the only requirement? Why are you worried it won't work?

From the "fleece project" thread:

"This might be a pretty vague explanation to the average guinea pig carer who has never heard of using fleece as bedding, so you need to know what type of fleece is recommended. The fleece you want is not the type of material you would often associate with wool. You are looking for 100% polyester."

Depending on the weight and weave, it might wick well or it might wick badly, even without waterproofing. The great thing about samples is that you can see for yourself.

I've tried three different types of anti-pill before I learned my lesson. From now on, I'm getting samples before I buy, or getting recommendations for specific brands and weights.

Malden Mills microfleece stays damp a while but it does not pool.
