My plan was to line my c&c cage with uhaul pad on bottom then fleece on top, folding the fleece over the colorplast edges and securing with binder clips. I don't sew and am worried the uhaul pads will shred with multiple washings. Do you think this reusable bedpad would work in place of the uhaul pad?

Anyone have success washing their uhaul pad without having to sew it into anything?

Thanks for your help!

The Uhaul blankets will shred alone, you will wind up with denim lint in your washer and holes in the blanket. Those mattress pads will probably be your best bet, but because they are mostly polyester you might need two layers of the pads to be absorbant enough.

Yes, the reusable pads will work, but regular mattress pads are cheaper and work just as well. I bought all of mine from thrift shops and didn't pay more than $4 for any one.
