ok people, ive got a ton of spare foam boards laying around i was using for some paintings. anyway, there very clean white boards and im wondering if its at all safe to use them for the bottom of a cage instead of coroplast. its very tough to find here so this would be awesome if i could use it.

no it would soak up the pee. You could use lineoleum

How would you get it to stay up the sides?

Im also having trouble tracking down someone who's
willing to sell the darn stuff to me!

i was going to use linoleum, but im pretty much out of cash. i dont mind if it soaks up the pee, it can be replaced every couple of days, i got tons of it. and my babies dont chew, thank god, so im going to try it, and see what happens. im going to cable tie it to the sides to keep them up.

Good luck,

If you have to do that, you have to dont ya.
Not everyone has an endless supply of $$ to get whats needed
alll the time.

So long as ur piggies are happy, whats it matter!... U just clean more lol..........

lol....actually, i came up with an idea, i have a bunch of packing tape laying around from the same project (dont ask) and im wrapping the foam board in the tape...seems to be waterproofing and making it really stable all at the same time.

Lol. Good luck lol.....

ehhh....theres was a lot of laughing in that last post...am i missing something? besides coroplast

Just trying to invisage you making it waterproof with stickytape hehehe.

Might be harder than it sounds....and dont lose the end of the sticky or you might get really frustrated lol.....

I found a place that sells cornflute but there 45 mins or more from me and
my transmission just s**t itself on the way to pick my kids up from kinder!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

yikes...well the idea is holding up well...the boards are all very secure and stiff...soo lets hope it passes the ultimate test...my 3 pound piglet

Where are you?
I found a place that delivers but you might be in another state for all i know :)
