It's been a while since I'm on this forum, because my Snowball is away at my friend's while my family deals with the moving situation. Apparently, having pets in the house isn't good when also having people to come look at it. But I've already covered this problem in my other thread.

My question/problem on this thread is that I'm worried if my piggie will forget about me and treat me as a stranger when he comes back. I know he's happy right now. My friend gives me an update every couple of days or so. All I've been hearing are Snowball enjoys his treats, wheeks for food, zooms around in the cage, and loves being petted. But he's tense during laptime. I will try to stop by at my friend's to check on Snowball (he lives a bit far away) but it will be over 3 weeks since I've left him there. Will he still enjoy cuddling with me when he gets back? It will literally kill me if he ignores me like a stranger when I check up on him, or worse, he likes to hide during the presence of a stranger too.

Oh honey. I don't honestly know for sure ! Are you jealous ? Just asking because my Cuddles prefers my husband over me.. sigh. However, her happiness and comfortableness makes me feel less so. I am just so glad that she is happy with SOMEONE. And honestly, when she is not in heat, she is so much better with me. She is a CRAB during heat times, and does not tolerate me at ALL. Thankfully, that is just 3-4 days out of a month. Still learning though, like you are. I have only had my two beautiful girls for about 3 months now ! I am just now, beginning to understand their individual personalities. It takes time to normally get to "know" them, you know ?

Check out my personal album page and tell me what you think ! I have a 6 x 2 C&C cage with a 2 x 2 hayloft. Just click on my name on this post and you can access my personal albums page.

My girls names are Cuddles and Buttercup. They are now between 4 and 4 1/2 mos. old. They are as different as night is to day ! However, I love both my girls, equally. Even though, one is not as loving and affectionate to me as the other one is !

How long did you have Snowball before you had to leave her with your friend ?

I'm sure he will be thrilled to get back to the routine he's come to enjoy with you but as long as he's getting good care, he's in good hands. It would have been more stressful for him to have strangers around while looking at the house and during your move. This way, it's only a single change in scenery and just a temporary one. I fostered the same guinea pig twice. I swear, he remembered us from the first time.

It will be a change for him, but it's better than having a lot of strangers in and out. Who knows what they would do. Once you move everything will be back to normal.

Kathlarron, you're piggies are adorable! I wasn't really jealous when my friend told me Snowball likes to circle around him and his brother. I was Snowball's favorite only for a couple of weeks until my mom came back from China. It took me a while to get to know him. I really like your cage though. I only have a 2x4 at the moment with a 1x1 top bunk for him to jump on. And I've had him since last August. I left him with my friend just earlie this month. Won't be getting him back until mid May.

Pinky, I'm really glad to know that piggies can remember people for a long time. That's what worried me the most.

and Deb's4Pigs, I really do hope things will go back to normal as soon as I have him back.

Thank you Ena_MM for the compliment, I really appreciate it ! :D

I noticed that you don't have ( that I could see) a personal albums page yet, would love to see some pigtures of Snowball, do you have any ? If you don't that's ok, maybe when you get Snowball back in May you can take a few ! I know you must miss him terribly, but at least you can rest easy knowing he is in good hands, you know ?
