Hi, I recently seperated my guinea pigs, but I put them together again today. There has not been any fighting, just threatening. They have been together for about two hours now. I have to go somewhere, but would it be okay to leave them together while I am gone?:?: I will be gone about two hours.

You shouldn't have put them together until you had time to monitor them, but what's done is done. Separating them now will lead to more stress and fights when you try and introduce them again. If it's been two hours, then you may be alright.

Thanks! I decided to leave them together, since they are both fine now. (Right now, they are sleeping, so hopefully they will stay that way until I get back.)

Why did you separate them? How big is their cage?

I seperated them because one of them was going through puberty and was driving the other one crazy. Their cage is a 2 by 5, but I am going to have a whole top level for them once I get coroplast. When I came back home they were both fine.

Unless they are drawing blood, leave they together; they have to sort out who is domiant.
