Why no mesh grids?

I read on CavyCages.com that you shouldn't use mesh grids, why not?

Yeah. I don't know why it says that, maybe I'll ask the owner of the website.
 
some people dont recommend the mesh cubes because it doesnt let in that much air circulation like the regular cubes do. also i saw one brand of mesh cubes that was really made poorly and i think the piggies could have just chewed through it.

not too sure though. anyone else know why the mesh ones are not allowed?

They slightly reduce air circulation, and don't allow for much vision on the pigs' part. They just aren't the best.
 
Yeah, I would think the piggies would think they were more of a jail cell inmate with the mesh, the regular 1.5" squares would definitely be easier to see out of.
