Like most piggies, my girls go into fits of wheeking as soon as they hear the fridge open or a rustling bag. My hubby jokingly calls them Pavolv's pigs.

Today, they were in their playpen in the family room, just off the kitchen. He went into the fridge, they wheeked, so he brought them some lettuce. A little while later, he was doing something with a bag. Wheek wheek wheek, and he brought them some grape pieces. Now he's making dinner, and the little wheekers were at it again as soon as he opened the fridge, so he gave them some carrot pieces. I don't think the pigs are the ones who are Pavolv trained!

Jumble has a toy that has a bell on it. She learned to ring the bell and we get her food.

That is so adorable! It's so cute to see a grown man fall head over heels for little critters and spoil them.

Resisting wheeks is so dang hard!

My dad is the same. Every time they wheek he's at it, getting them something.

I must never give mine a bell that would be bad :p

Dad calls them the overlords.

What cute stories, lol. My pigs are certainly the instigators. Today they were out for run time and started wheeking and my 6 yr. old son said HE wanted a snack too!

That's so cute! I wish my pig would wheek. She never wheeks, which is surprising, seeing how she "peeps" 24/7.

I trained her to ring a bell in her cage and she would get a little sliver of carrot. She abused the privelage, and was ringing the bell all the time. So now the bell only comes in at special occasions.

Ok, I am getting them a bell, to see who I can train. Anyone know the song 'Brian Wilson', by BNL?

It's a matter of instinct, it's a matter of conditioning,
It's a matter of fact.
You can call me Pavlov's dog
Ring a bell and I'll salivate- how'd you like that?

I love the bell idea. Might have to try it with the girls. They already both sit up and beg very nicely.
