Cleaning Which to use?

Just a quick question for you today.
I have been reading about using vinegar to clean cages in a 50/50 solution. Is it white or brown vinegar or does it not really matter?

I'm assuming white vinegar, brown might stain.

I use white vinegar.

Brown/cider vinegar won't stain but it is a bit more expensive than white/distilled. It also doesn't have as much of a sulfurous odor as the white. Either's odor dissipates quickly, especially if it is diluted.
