I know several Cavy Savy people like Momo (Guinealynx) and others give their piggies an occasional Oxbow treat. I'm just not sure which ones are safe, which ones they give their piggies, what oxbow has etc... I've tried researching but have found lots of hay and pellets. I'm not going to buy from a pet store I'm trying to order them from some where online. If anyone know what ones Cutemomoma on GL gives her piggies or which ones you give and your piggies like I would LOVE to know!!!

I use the Veggie Treat and the Timothy Treats.
They go over well with the pigs, they are only given once and awhile.
I love buying their Timothy Twists and Timothy Carrots for the pigs to have as chew toys in the cage, they take awhile to destroy so it keeps the pigs occupied and it is nice knowing they are only made of hay.

I only give the timothy treats, I'm pretty sure those are the only ones that are all timothy hay and nothing else, which I prefer.

My girls go CRAZY for the Simple Rewards Veggie Treats. They know the sound of the container I keep them in and come to the door as soon as I shake it. Oh and if I bit slow at opening the container they start chewing the bars of the cage.

I tend to switch them up a bit. I mix the Medley treats in with their pellets as a treat on holidays, and after certain traumatic events (like bath time). I use the Veggie or Barley treats for training, like after an ear cleaning or nail trimming.

I've never fed mine the treats. Instead I feed unlimited Oxbow orchard grass, KM timothy pellets and a wide variety of veggies with occasional fruit for a treat..

I stick with Oxbow Barley Biscuits (which my Sammie knows as her "cookies") and Oxbow Simple Rewards Strawberry bits. She also gets a sprinkling of Hartz pumpkin seed/pepita mix on her dry food daily, but that's more of a necessity since she turns her nose up it otherwise. ...not that I spoil her or anything. ;)

I just do not like any man made treat for guinea pigs... Call me crazy but I would rather given them something else. Mine go crazy for fresh herbs like, cilantro, parsley, and basil. Cilantro is a daily staple so I use the other 2 for treats, and they go bonkers for them. We are going to introduce thyme and dill soon, cant wait to see if they like it!
