I've been wanting to try out Excel brand pellets and hay but having a very difficult time finding a place that ships to I suppose the US or maybe just my area in particular. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and found a site? The actual site's shipping has been down since I've attempted getting it this month.

Burgess Excel isn't considered to be as good a pellet as KMS or Oxbow. Is there some reason you're particularly wanting that?

I was trying to find something to help with one of my pigs apparent hatred of pellets. I haven't had the option till now to order their food so wanted to try a variety to see if I could mix them to get her to like them or a particular one she will like.

I'm actually waiting on the KMS now, should be any day it comes in for I can have a go with that.
I've had to fight her tooth and nail to switch her to better foods.
When I rescued her it was whatever the Walmart horrible brand is. That was a horrible horrible time getting her to switch to now Kaytee Timonty Complete, I know it's not the best at all but by far better than what she had been, because it was the only other non-alfalfa based pellet I could find in my area. Before hand I have bought Oxbow, we make special few hour drives to get it, and she completely refused till I was forced to mix it into the old food in hope she would eat it, which she still wouldn't. I am still getting Oxbow, I feed it to my other piggy who's caged with her, who won't eat the Kaytee which I'm very happy about. But I figured she would have a go at it with the other one loving it, I've tried taking it out, she just refuses to even touch it. It's odd. :/ I do sneak in the Oxbow into all the dishes but of course I then have no clue she's eaten what she really needs. Now I have the option of ordering online and was having a go at all the most liked and better brands. I know Excel isn't up there in recommendations but really I'm just desperate to get her away from the more worse brands. And I'm trying not to over agitate my original pig, which it does, because of the still getting their rumbledepigs out of them about who's dominate. Was afraid she'd take it out on the little girl.

Luckily pellets are only 5% of their diet so it's not bad if she refuses. That being said, be stern and only feed her the good pellets. If she doesn't eat them after a day, trash them and give her another fresh scoop. She'll eventually eat them, but it may take weeks to a month. Just don't give in. Same with veggies, they're always afraid to try new stuff; kind of the prey instinct I guess. But keep being persistent :)

That's what I will be doing with the KMS though I for some reason thing Miss Piggy will like it, at least I know Skittles will. Which will still most likely give her incentive to try. Now when I first got her that was my problem too, Miss Piggy was actually terrified of the veggies it was cute and sad but after that first bite she never looked back thankfully. Though the Kaytee ran out today so she's a bit flustered just at me though so I will be taking it from her since Skittles eats Oxbow Miss Piggy will maybe start getting interested in why she likes it. :p Though I'm the big baby here. I know she won't starve but feel like I'm doing it anyway.
