Where to find fleece?

After reading your stories about fleece, I'm thinking about switching (I currently use Aspen bedding). Can I buy fleece at regular fabric store? Anyone from Toronto have suggestions for local places?

You can buy fleece from fabric stores.

I bought fleece blankets that I found on sale for $2 each. It was cheaper then even one yard of fleece. You don't get to choose from as many cute patterns and colors but heck, my GPs would rather I spend the money I saved on veggies anyway.

Joann's is having a sale this weekend, 50% off fleece and if you get their circular in the mail you can get 40% w/ your monthly coupon at any other time.

You can also get fleece at a Target or a Walmart.

Can you tell me the pros of fleece? It sounds complicated!

Just a hint to all the Americans who posted, we don't have Jo-Anns or Target. So if you ever move to Canada, don't look for one :p

But Fabric Fabric (I think we only have those in Toronto, but there maybe one or two elsewhere) or FabricLand are good places to start.

Walmart's fleece is over priced. Where in Toronto are you?

I'm getting my fleece from a seller on eBay. You have to be pretty careful and factor in the shipping to see if you're paying too much, but I found a pretty decent deal. All of Percy's fleece is going to be navy blue for a while, but oh well. I'm getting 5 1/3yrds longX60 inches wide for about $20. Cheaper than I've found most other places.

These are my opinions of fleece
Pros:
1. Makes cage look nicer.
2. Healthier in the long run for pigs.
3. Great for long haired pigs.
4. Easier to clean up.
5. Can recycle (wash instead of toss in trash).

Cons:
1. Must spot clean everyday picking up poos/hay.
2. Must change more often than shavings.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
