UK Where to buy Cubes in UK

Oh so are B&Q only doing mesh grids? Argh, think I'm getting my five packs from Robert May I've been quoted for postage and vat included £140 which is good for five packs ...

I'm pretty sure that the b&q ones are not mesh, like the screwfix ones, but the ones with the squares gaps.

It's a lot of money, but when you put it into prespective as to how many cages you can make, it's good value for money. I have just sold 40 grids to a woman who fosters guinea pigs.

Are you still selling any grids ?

I'm not no, sorry.

I know they are really hard to get hold of! I bought 55 from Candi on here, she wasn't willing to split them up, I didn't need them all so sold the rest on.

Cubes in Northern Ireland?

hey ppl's do any of you know were to get cubes in Northern Ireland?? Cant find them

Don't know of any shops which sell them (though you could try PMing CCC who started this thread who's recently moved from Northern Ireland), though some folk have found them in B&Q recently - maight be worth a trt. Also it may be worth trawling through this thread from the beginning for other ideas of possible outlets. There are some on-line companies (again listed earlier in this thread). This link takes you to a company posted in another thread recently - though they do seem awffy pricey especially considering p&p.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on!

This is the link for the B&Q grids. You can't order online but you could print out the page and take it in store. That way they might actually know what you are talking about.

I purchased my grids from Wickes in store, I cannot see them listed on the website: Wickes - Home improvement products for the trade and DIY They came in a pack that makes 4 'cubes'. I wrote down the code and details from the sticker on the shelf, so hopefully if your local store don't have them in they can order them for you.

Details as follows:

Storage Cubes PK4 XT

165125

£24.99

Here's a photo of my cage, so you can see what the grids look like:

Hiya,

I found another website that sells the cubes, you can buy either a set or single panels and connectors, they are rather expensive, but I thought I'd post the link anyway:

I found another website with a list where you might possibly get the cubes:

I got my cubes from B&Q last weekend, they didn't have them at my local store but they had them at one of the bigger warehouse stores :). I also got a piece of correx for £10 (1850mm x 1100mm) from a local sign maker, all in all I paid £34 for everything.

Ooh, someone on Guinea Lynx has posted that they purchased "wire cubes" from Asda for £15.99 for four cubes.

I can't find them on the Asda website but I'll try and check if I can find any instore next time I'm near an Asda - might be worth those of us who have one more locally checking to see?

Don't have one too local to me, but that would be great if they were more readily available for those who are looking!

Hello,

I've been checking this thread in the hope to find a source to get some grids/cubes/shelves to be delivered to Germany, but I couldn't find it.

Does anybody of you all know where I could order some grids to be delivered to Germany? or any german-dutch provider of grids?

I've been searching for two months already and nothing so far. I did find a guy in the south of Germany selling these very nice shelves at 1 euro per unit in Ebay.de, but he wouldn't deliver them himself, we would have got to go ourselfs over there, which in distance would have been like going all the way to Paris to get them!! and we don't got a car! NO!! :(

So please, could somebody help me to find grids or something alike around this area? I would be much appreciated of your feedback.

you can order cubes online on the b&q website they are £22 for 26, thats how I got mine :)

Hey guys
Does anyone have any idea where I can find these anymore? I've searched Screwfix, Homebase, B+Q and Argos all to no avail. I've found a few online places but with prices up above £50 I'm not happy about paying that much!! Anyone got any ideas? :(

Hello Folks,

I've been looking for these cubes for a couple of weeks now, as I'm planning on getting the nipper a couple of Guinea's for christmas,

I've had no luck in the standard DIY outlets, but have just found this online store:

(broken link removed)

I've just ordered a couple, they're 16 quid a pack and I think the postage is fixed at £5.50, which seems pretty reasonable compared to ebay prices. I've just ordered 2 packs, so I'll let you know how I get on.

I have just managed to complete my cage and have it how I want it now. I managed to get hold of 3 packs from Chester Wickes store, (item number 165 125, Its the only number on the box). The cubes are not the usual ones seen in the galleries, they have smaller holes and are arranged in a mesh rather than grids (if that makes sense). I work for a retail support company that works in most of the DIY retailers in the UK and have only found them in Wickes. I have had Store managers trying to find the B&Q ones for months now with no luck.

see link below for picture of grids.

hope this helps.
