Where do you keep your Guinea Pigs?

Queen B said:
To bad Miko. Maybe when you get your own house/apartment you can have them in the living room.
Ahhh yes, once the dogs are gone and I'm in my very own little matchbox apartment, the pigs will finally have...well with the amount of money I have saved up, they'll probably just get the apartment and I'll live in the cage! *laughs*
Yeah, the boyfriend has no problems with it, but I can't bite the hand that feeds me, so in my bedroom they stay for now :(

I can't bite the hand that feeds me,
Miko, tell that little proverbs to one of my piggies! Hah.

They do get a little excited when food is coming their way, don't they. The other day I was giving one of my fosters a carrot and he grabbed my finger instead.

eek, I hope it didn't hurt.

Oh my! Yeah, I just read that thread...mine often mistake my fingers for carrots and other such nibblies (I sympathize with you both!).

My boys share a room with my daughter. She has the most room. My husband built her a loft bed..she has alot of floor space. The boys are never bored,,my girls are always bouncing around. Besides, her room is right off the livingroom. So I'll sit at my computer and we week back and forth..I think my hubbys thinks I need to go to the funny farm. :))

haha, that is funny Joab.

My cage is in the kitchen, because I'm the mom, and I want it there (It's great to be a grown-up). I also have a home-office with a c&c cage, so when I'm working a long day, we can keep each other company.

In the living room.

They are in my bedroom, but that is because I live at home so basically my bedroom is my 'private living room' and they can get enough attention here. When I get out of the house they probably will be somewhere in the living room.
yeah thats me too. Mine is in my bedroom. Its the only place I can keep him, but everyone comes in my room anyway so he gets all the attention he wants.

I love that Joa. Your husband said that you need to go to the funny farm. Well can I join you since we only live an hour away. hehehehe. He goes crazy when I talk about gp this and gp that and he changes the supject when I say gp at all. Dont get him wrong he loves them to death its just that they are everywhere. we got too many. We have a 2 br apt and the biggest br is our pc room and the piggie, bunny room too. Their cages takes up the whole half of the floor space and the one wall only has 2 pc desk nothing else. When you walk in there is the cage first. Everyone that we know says lets all go to the Lewis Zoo. Hence our last name. Thats what they call our apt. We have 1 dog, 22 piggies, 2 dwarf bunnies and a 10 gal fish tank. Almost got my moms golden retreiver puppy but I told her no. Now you know why we are called the Lewis Zoo.

Thanks for all the replies everyone :) we're thinking of keeping ours in the living room once we get them. I was going to keep them in my Hamster room but I thought we had enough in there already...lol.

Mine are in my living/working room where I am most of the time (working on my pc at home). My first pig lived in my bedroom but I went crazy with all the gnawing on cage grids. So now I have my undisturbed beauty sleep at night, and we're together all day. :)

I live in a <400 square foot studio (very tiny), and it's basically just one room, so the cage is in my dining/living/bedroom! Good news is, she can see me no matter where I am. Bad news is, she can see me no matter where I am. =)

My bedroom. I live in my bedroom so I'm with them constantly. They have now gotten to the point where they dont jump anymore when someone gets off the bed and walks by their cage.

Wow Dumpling that is small!

Yeah, tell me about it. And it's VERY expensive. =P So ridiculous. All my friends tell me that it's actually quite a decent sized studio for NYC, and that it's a good price for the location. I don't agree, but I am use to it though. But I don't have room for a C & C cage right now - I really want to build one though! But my apt is also kind of narrow, and I would have a hard time getting around. I thought about building up, but not sure at this point because the first floor still needs to be wide enough. Been thinking about this for a while though.

That stinks, That is a pretty good size studio for NYC though, It is hard to find good apartments up there.

Mine are in the dining room. There's an eight foot opening between the living and dining room, though, so you can actually see them very clearly from the living room too. :) My husband does complain that Peanut stares at him when we eat dinner. My hubby has lost it, I think!

Hehe, that is funny Baby Bears.
