I want to get Whistles Oxbow Essentials. BUT everywhere I go in town is either too expensive or they don't carry it.
To get the best price, where do you buy?

Also, hay, currently I feed just Timothy hay, I am considering adding Meadow Grass or another type of hay (NOT alfalfa) to Whistles' diet. What brand do you like best. Why?

Many members use Oxbow. They buy online in bulk. www.oxbowanimalhealth.com check it out and see if it will work for you.
Another pellet that is sometimes easier to find is Mazuri guinea pig pellets. It is made by Purina.
You want the one that is a straight pellet no seeds or colored bits. I use Mzuri pellets as I too cannot get Oxbow. I am able to get it from my local feed store.
Good luck in finding a good pellet.

I usually just go to PetSmart. They have Oxbow products. And it's right down the street from my house.

Thankies.
I may just have to settle getting his food when I get the horses' food. Purina is horrible with dog food, but pretty darn good with horse feed.

And they over price it as well.
I've got one literally 2 minutes from me and their selling a 5lb at $14 o_O

I get my pellets and hay and litter box litter all by oxbow at wylie wagg for pets. It's a petstore where they sell only animal supplies no animals are sold but they do have adoption days which is cool but and that's off the subject hehe I don't remember the exact price but I know they are not real expensive they only sell natural and organic pet foods mmm when I was there last I don't remember seeing the essentials guinea pig food but the did have the chinchilla one so they may get it in as they have just recently started carrying small pet stuff. I mix half cavy cuisine ( essentials ) and half organic guinea pig ( bene terra ) but I want to switch over completely to the organic. The hay I feed is the organic meadow hay , orchard grass ( sadly not organoc but oh well ) and then the only thing that I don't get from them is the all living things timothy hay which I purchased from petsmart. Hope this helps.
