We have two closely bonded sisters who have lived together since before we got them. They are both accidentally pregnant. We don’t want to subject them to the stress of loneliness until absolutely necessary. What week of the pregnancy should they be separated so they don’t influence each other’s labor/delivery?

How big is your cage? If it's large enough for two females and the pups, don't separate them at all. 99.99+% of female sows will take care of any other sow's pups -- you just need to watch to make sure you don't have the 0.01% that won't/

2x3 cxc

I’d probably separate them into two cages that are right next to each other so they can still see, smell, and hear each other. Also consider expanding the size of the main cage to 2x4.

A 2x3 is not large enough for two adult guinea pigs, much less two sows with babies. You need a much bigger cage.

Thank you for your input. I will look into a better solution.
