I lost one my piggies yesterday, I went out of town for 5 days and left them with a relative. I took both to the vet asap because their poops were smaller than usual and they barely touched their pellets. The vet said one was normal while the other might have respiratory problems, so he prescribed antibiotics.

The ok one is eating his pellets while the one with the problem only likes hay and veggies. Is their something physically wrong or are they mourning? They look pretty depressed. :(

Make sure to weigh them to make sure they are not losing any weight. You can learn more about weighing here: https://www.guinealynx.info/weigh.html Also the most important part in a pigs diet is hay, followed by veggies, pellets are at the very bottom, and at the most they should only have 1/4 a cup of those per day. I've even heard some people say that it might be better not to feed pellets at all. (Forget where/who I heard it from) So as long as they are still eating the hay, not losing any weight (As said in that link, there will be slight variations depending on if they have just eaten, etc) and are not showing signs of being sick they will be fine. Make sure to watch them very closely also.

It would be more likely that they are sick, rather than depressed. What is the name of the antibiotic?

Anytime a guinea pig does not act/eat like normal is a cause for concern. How did the other guinea pig die?
