I have a home made hammock with a mattress sheet underneath for my cavies to curl up in, a three storey cardboard castle (which is huge!), a cardboard piece from a box (the insets that come in things like playstation boxes with lowered sections for the wires etc) i hide pieces of food in the different areas of it for the guineas to find, they seem to like it =) I also use the empty guinea food bags as hideys, I just overturn the top of the bag so it stays open and fill it with hay or shredded paper. I also have two houses, food bowl, water bottle, tunnels, and a wooden block with parsley etc in it for them to chew. I like to keep things different and change things around, I'm forever building something new out of cardboard boxes etc! I hope this gives you some ideas =)

Wow that castle sounds cool!
Do you think you could post a pigture of it?

Sure! I've just been cleaning out the cage so ignore the temporary bin bag under flooring! I've taken some pics of Butters and Mimsy in the castle to show you =) It cost £15 from Pets At Home, I thought yes its going to be destroyed but I know they'll have loads of fun! And it has actually kept really well throughout the week =) I hope you can see the pigtures okay!

piglover94 I just put mine at an angle and sat on it. Haha make sure not to break it by bending it to fast though, it hurts when they break.

Cavy Treenie oh ok thank you.

One other thing I noticed is a lot of people do is put little stuffed animals in the cage with them and I was wondering why? Do they like them or cuddle them or something?
Thanks everyone!

The girls also have a bunk bed, a sewn bed I made them, and they will soon be getting a cage upgrade with the equivalent space of a 2x16. :D

I keep the minimum "stuff" so that my girls can zoom in several patterns. Someone mentioned switching out toys and things, and my girls already LOVE this! After only a few weeks, I think I have every carved wood little fruit thingy made. I have about 5 in the cage at once here and there, and I switch a few of them out every 5ish days. My girls seem to get very curious with the new, and it keeps those peanut brains stimulated! Let me quick remind all you new (like me) loving Cavy parents, push your cage items into the center to create longer zoomie lap routes!

piglover94 I saw a video on YouTube were someone said that when one pig gets a little annoyed with the other they may pick on or bully the stuffed animal rather than the other pig. I have no idea if this is true or not, the woman in the video said she was told this by a rescue group she was getting a new pig from and since I was getting new pigs I thought it couldn't hurt just in case they didn't like each other.

2 pigloos, hay rack, water bottle, 4 hanging wood toys with bells (hanging from the bottom of the top floor) a string of solid cat balls with bells in them (3) attached to the side of the cage, a solid cat ball with bell in it that rolls loose on the floor, a flexable wood ramp, a kitchen area & a food dish.

We do a lot of what's already mentioned. And...we use kid toys that they don't use anymore, like:

Plastic baby balls - they're colorful and see through with some sort of "action" happening on the inside
Build it set - comes with sticks and connector "octagons" (not sure how many sides they really have). The "octagons" have holes, you connect them with the sticks to make different shapes. The kids loved the concept, but it wasn't as kid-friendly as we hoped - so now the guinea pigs get tepees and hidey houses, and fleecy swingset-like things, etc. - too big for the regular cage, we use them at floortime (space is larger)

2 cave beds, 1 hidey house, 2 food bowl. 1 tunnel.
1 second tunnel has been sacrificed for a bridge to upperfloor (which they don't go).
Litter tray has been sacrified for space to stop fighting.
Bottle and hay manger technically outside.
Oh and 2 guinea pigs or the rest would be a bit pointless :D
