I have a 1x2 loft on my 2x5 cage and my 2 boys love using it. I'm switching to fleece and I need help deciding what I should use the loft for.
I'm thinking either:
-hay loft (hay rack across the back)
-kitchen (pellets and some hay and water. I would have hay and water downstairs also)
-or just a cozy hidey place with a fleece forest and stuff

So what do you think? What do you use your loft for?

I've got a 2X2 loft and I keep the hay, pellets and water up there for my 5 girls. The biggest benefit for me is having the hay upstairs (once your piggies learn how to use the ramp) so then the hay doesn't get spread all over your fleece. Then it's really easy to spot clean poos out of the main cage and you've only got to worry about removing strands of hay from the loft.

I use my 2x2 loft as a kitchen for my two boys. Keeps my fleece more hay free and I use pine pellets up there in the kitchen. Makes it easier to clean and they have plenty of room. I have water, pellets, veggies and hay up there. I also have a water bottle downstairs as well so they don't have to go all the way up to drink.
