What sort of fruits and veggies?

As I've said before, i'm a very new pig owner, and would like to give my pigs a good diet. My eyes have just been opened to all the different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Are there some types that are better than other? or are they all equally good? i've heard some bad things about corn...is it true?

Just a good long list would be fine, so i could them variety.

Dont give them rubarb (not sure about spelling) or beans or iceburg lettuce. Romaine lettuce and most dark green leafs are good but stay away from the lighter ones.

On guinealynx it says that the red pepper has 190.00 vitamin C per 100 grams which was the most.

I get my pig like 5-6 different things at a time right now he has mustard greens, carrots, carrots tops, oranges, cabbage, cucumber. I usually have at least one fruit and 4-5 veggies.

THat guinea lynx link is fab. On a day to day basis I give my pigs cucumbers, romaine lettuce, cilantro and fresh greens. Every other day I may give kale, carrots or a teeny bit of apple. Hay and pellets are available all the time. Oh, also they get lots and lots of grass since I let them out in my garden. If its too cold I give them a handfull of readigrass.

Did you select the option, that will send you all the new posts in a day? Because you maybe you should select the one that only sends posts from threads that you subscribed to (wrote in)


Or you could always select weekly notifaction.

Maybe that's because you wrote ANOTHER post on that thread and didn't check that option the second time. OR perhaps you only did change it once and not on all your posts, Denise.

Getting off-subject...(not that i mind...

So, basically, besides rhubarb (poisonous for humans too, except the roots), i can give my piggers just about anything?
Is that right?

even if you put no e-mail notification, you will still get e-mails if you have subscriptions to certain threads. i had this problem, and couldn't figure out why i was still getting all the notices, then i just unsubscribed to everything, and i havn't had a problem since!

I got a great new list from the GuineaLynx site listed in an above post! I copied it down and put it in my coupon holder for the grocery store (got that idea from someone here!) and got the girls some Kohlrabi ( LOVE IT) and turnip (HATE IT)!
