What Other Fabric Besides Fleece?

I tried fleece and it only lasted 2 days. I did not care for it. I have carpet mats and crib blanket which is 2 cotton layers with a thin stuffing in between on my top levels. I love it. Of course they do most of their business in the lower level (shavings there). I may want to try the same for my lower level. This way when the hay gets all over it I can easily vacuum it up whereas hay sticks to fleece. I was Just wondering if anyone has ever tried any other fabric besides fleece for their main level.
