what makes the best pair

I am actively looking for another cavy for Porkchop to have a friend. But my qustion is what would make a good pair? A female about her age or an older female that is over the puberty phase. Maybe a nutered male? What do you have as a pair? If I find a potential match should I take Porkchop to meet the new cavy or just bring her home and hope they get along? Any ideas??

You usually have to quarantine, or find a reputable rescue to adopt from. You can take your piggie on dates, or they can help you match them up.

Sows are usually easier to pair up. Any age would probably work. Younger may be easier.
