My guinea pigs won't eat their pellets! I threw away the bag, so I don't know what brand it is..
But, what kind do your guinea pigs like?

There are only a handful good pellet brands, most others are harmful & pure garbage.
The best brands are Kleenmamas, Oxbow & Sweet meadow, in that order. As your pigs are young you can choose the alfalfa based versions for pigs under 6 months.

Just like with kids, you might have to feed the certain foods 5-10 times before they like it.

Personnaly I use Oxbow and my pigs litterally run over the bowl when I fill it. At first I had bad pellets and Doby didnt make a fiesta of it as he does now. (he even pulls on the bag while I hold it near the bowl for feeding hahaha)
But I agree you might have to feed it few times before they eat it.
Since you're in US kleenmamas is very easy to get I think.

I switched to KM timothy pellets. I used to buy Oxbow Cavy Cuisine but my pigs like the KM pellets better.

My piggies aren't fond of any pellets and mostly just pick at them. Some days they will have a more serious go at the pellets, but most days they are more interested in the oodles of meadow hay and veggies they have. Or they've stuffed themselves outside grazing on grass :)

I use a mix of KM's timothy pellets and Oxbow's adult pellets. My girls seem to like them both.

That's probably a great idea if you have some guinea pigs that prefer one or the other. They're both high quality brands.

i feed sweet meadow pellets right now and both my boys really like them and when these are gone i have 10lbs of KM's pellets in the freezer to start using

I use Hartz pellets. I am not sure what everyone's take on them is here?

Hartz pellets are not made with timothy hay. Their first ingredient is wheat middlings, which is basically the dust left over from processing wheat. The only hay is timothy, and they've got a lot of sweetener in them. The calcium is limestone, which is a cheap way of getting calcium into the pellets. On the plus side, they don't have a lot of vegetable fillers in them.

There are much better brands of pellets in the US market. I know Oxbow sells in Canada and that KMS Hayloft doesn't, but I don't know about some of the others. There's a current thread here somewhere about buying pet supplies in Canada -- you could try searching for it and see if anyone has suggestions on where to buy better pellets.

I think Km sells pellets in Canada.. it's just hay that cant be send over the border. In SK the shipping might not be too high, or try finding Oxbow or Sweet Meadow. These are the 3 good brands. Hartz is mostly bad filling stuff. I've read it's better no pellets than bad pellets. Search for timothy hay as first ingredient. I saw here in canada lots of pellets are made with alfalfa, and adults cant have alfalfa on a regular basis.

I feed my pigs Oxbow and they like it a lot, but Kleenmama's is supposed to be better and costs less per pound, so I'm switching to that when I run out of the Oxbow.

No, KM doesn't sell pellets in Canada -- she used to, but they changed something about the import regulations and taxes and it made them way too expensive to ship across the border.
