We got the new piggy today. We followed all the introduction guidelines and they seemed to get along well. There was a lot of sniffing, noses in the air, hay stealing and teeth chattering. After awhile they both got comfy and hung out. I cleaned the cage inside and out, put in fresh fleece and rearranged everything. The new piggy went straight into the sleep sack head first and stayed there for a very long time. I gave both girls a plate of veggies. The new piggy ate her veggies with joy but never left the sleep sack. The other piggy, Cupcake, tried to take her veggies out of her mouth several times. The new piggy just turned her back to Cupcake and continued eating. Cupcake seems to be trying to get the new piggy to come out by running around the sleep sack wheeking and popcorning. Is this normal? I am worried the new girl is unhappy.
