What is Most Likely Wrong W/ Rodney??

He has pink blotches almost all over him, his left lower eyelid is pulling away from his eye, and it's pink.. and when he scratches (which he is doing quite a bit) white milky stuff comes out of his eye.. not so much infection color, more whitish. I am taking him to the vet, as this just showed up OVERNIGHT!! The scratching has been going on for some time now.

He could have mites. The milky stuff is guinea pig tears. I dont know whats wrong with his eye, but the tears are pretty much like our tears. It might be trying to wash something out of his eye. I would take him to the vets immediatly.

His eye sounds like "pea eye" and it sounds like he has mites.

maybe she means that the ammonia from the pea irritates their eyes? that is what the vet told me today,(on the phone) but I take pretty dern good care of their cage, to ensure that there is no ickies in there... so I dunno.

It's like when you can see the whites of their eyes due to an extra layer of fat.
