Hello,

i was wondering what you put between your fleece and coroplast? In your C&C cages...

thanks,
lucas

This is probably the most popular absorbant layer to use with fleece: (broken link removed)

I use these and love them. They control odor better than towels in my experience.

ok thanks i will try them

I'm researching that myself at the moment. There is a great stickied post at the top of the bedding section called The Fleece Project: The Study (https://www.guineapigcages.com/threads/21568/). It mentions a bunch of different options, but overall I've read you want something absorbent below the fleece, as the main purpose of fleece is to wick away moisture from the surface to soak into something absorbent below it. Some people use towels, some use U-Haul pads (the furniture pads, not the quilted pads), and some even put newspaper below that layer, against the coroplast. I'd start with The Fleece Project post and go from there. Good luck!

I use uhaul blankets and beach towels.
On top of the fleece I put little "rugs" in the high traffic areas.
The rugs are 2 layers of hand towels with a piece of fleec sewn on top.

Good point Kim. I put cozies and cuddle cups in the spots they hang out and pee in the most, and these are changed out every 1-2 days. Whole cage changed about every 6 days.

found my solution from Kim/surfingpigs thanks guys :)
