I got a new guinea pig and i also have one. I just introduced them and they are walking around in circles and kind of rumbling, and my older guinea pig is trying to mount him. Is this sexual or is he asserting dominance?

please answer me

I believe this is showing dominace (sp?). My two males take turns doing this same thing. It is completely normal, as long as they don't start fighting and hurting each other. Hope this helps

more like dominance issue

Have a look at this page https://www.cavyspirit.com/sociallife.htm for what is normal introductory and dominance behaviour, and what may indicate there may be a problem. Mounting and rumbling are both perfectly normal when two new pigs are introduced though.

i found a Very good way to introduce a new pig and its almost guarenteed to work.Once you get your new pig(s) out of quaratine, you can introduce by taking the top of a regualr size cage and sticking it inside of ur C&C cage. Its great because they can get the smell and see and feel the new pig but not hurt or mount it at all.I've Studied this trick for about 5 pigs and worked everytime.I used it as a last resort and it worked :).Actually i saw it at a petshop when they had new pigs and older pigs in a window and asked why but well it works so yay hehe.
