Weird sounds

Hi, I just got my guinea pig like about a week ago and when he's in my lap and im petting him he makes this whining sound, even when im not touching him he makes this sound but only when hes on my lap. Is this normal? Am I hurting him or something? Also, I've noticed he only craps inside his little sleeping house which I have to keep cleaning out every couple days becuase I dont want him sleeping on a bed of feces. Is that normal? (its kinda gross)

:evil: Both my pigs make the same noise (sounds like) when held in my lap. It is almost like chirping. I feel like they're talking when they do that. Also, how could you clean out the poo only every couple of days. For my one piggie I scoop out the cage twice daily ( at least ) and completely clean it and disinfect it once a week. One pig produces an awful lot of poo to let it go a couple of days!
