While observing our piggies today, we noticed that while one (Carmela) was eating, the other (Cruella) came behind her and begun to sniff her rear end. That's normal, but what happened next was...weird...I think. Carmela shot these little white pellets out of backside, hitting Cruella in the face. This happened about 5 times, and at first we thought it was urine, but it's coming out like BB's. Is this normal?

No idea, unless it's sludge from the bladder when she pees at Cruella. What do you feed them, and how much of each thing? Also, how old are they?

They are currently 7-8 weeks old. We go through the fairly standard food items. Alfalfa pellets, timothy hay and a fresh produce mix. (Romaine or Butter Lettuce, Cilantro, 1 baby carrot each, pea pods or cucumber as a treat every other day.) A typical serving amount is one whole Romaine Leaf, 8-10 pieces of cilantro and one baby carrot each. Then at night, we'll give them a treat of a pea pod each or cucumber slice. And fresh water everyday.

Is peeing on one another normal behavior?

They literally look like BB's coming out? Or are they just actual droplets from an inconsistent stream of urine?
If they literally look like BB's I'd be worried that she is passing many stones. My girl, Sweetie, is a urine sprayer, it is her 1st line of defense when she doesn't want someone to sniff her bum. And it is always just urine. Nothing solid ever comes out.

cliantro has alot of calcium. Only give each pig 2-3 stems.
I haven't heard of feeding peas a whole lot. So I wouldn't feed them very much. Cucumber is mostly water. It's okay as a once or twice a week treat. Try adding in some tomatoes(1 baby tomato per pig works) and bell peppers

you still shouldn't be giving that much cliantro. 2-3 stems per pig is fine. You don't need to quote the food chart, I know what should be given and how much should be given. The ideal pig salad(per pig) is 1 large lettuce leaf, 1/4 bell pepper, 1 cherry tomato, a baby carrot(or equivalent to size), 2-3 stems of cliantro or parsley. I usually add 1 random other veg or fruit once or twice a week to this salad.

I had actually gotten cilantro confused with parsley as far as calcium, but it still stands that your pig doesn't need that much cilantro. The amount you're giving is almost equal to the amount of lettuce.

In regards to your answer to my question about her urine, it's likely that it's just an inconstant stream of urine. It's meant to say "back off" in a harsh way, not to empty their bladder onto them XD

I like to use that food chart also, but I dont really feed the same veggies daily.

That chart is allright, but I feed according to my pigs intake, and what they put out in waste.

The chart is to help you create a complete meal based off the vitamins and minerals that the fresh food give.

this is why I use the chart as a guideline, but I watch my pigs poo, and their urine, and alter their vegetable diet as I see fit if things in their "mess" change.

Peeing on each other is totally normal. It's mostly a sow thing.

Sorry for the wait on replies. Oh no, I wasn't trying to quote the food chart to you, or imply that you don't know what you were talking about. I was just sending a link of what we were going by, so you would be able to tell us your opinion on it and let us know if we were messing up any. :)

As it turned out, it was urine. Thanks for the advice and help.
