George had x-rays yesterday and has a large badder stone. He is going into surgery on Thursday and needs your good thoughts, please!

We are awaiting results of bloodwork on Fuzzy Lumpkins as he is ill but we aren't sure what exactly is happening. We only got enough urine yesterday to test that is did have glucose in it but nothing else. Like I say, bloodwork pending, and we may need to see a specialist.

Kirk also has something going on and despite chest x-rays, we aren't sure just what yet - he also may be going to see a specialist.

Goodluck to all you guinea pigs and I hope they all get better and make it through their sickness or surgery.

I will offer a prayer for George, Fuzzy Lumpkins and Kirk every day. God loves his little fuzzy creations too!

Best of luck with them all - they are SO handsome!

You can be sure my prayers are with you and all your little friends. I am thankful every day that God has sent such sweet little things into our lives. There are so many people don't know what they are missing not having one of these cute little critters to love,

Good Bless All Of You!

I wish them all luck.

I hope all of your guinea pigs are feeling so much better soon.

I hope they all make it through. They are all beautiful. Blessed Be!

Thanks everyone. These are all foster piggies. Kirk and Fuzzy came into rescue 2.5 weeks ago, very ill. We lost another piggie who came in with them, Little Patricia (memorial on the website) as she was too far gone to save. :( We're hoping these boys can pull through. George has been in foster care for awhile now, and for some reason has devoloped a stone. We will know more once it is removed and analyzed. He actually had an interested adopter, hopefully he can get back to being a healthy guy and go on to find a wonderful permanent home. Thanks so much for your good thoughts.

Amy, I wish you luck and success in getting these little guys back into good health. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Amy, my thoughts are with you, I hope everything turns out ok.

Amy,
I hope all the piggies get better soon without causing you too much heartache. I find it so hard to believe how delicate these little creatures are. The thought of one of my guys getting sick scares the heck out of me - I've been through it once and it ripped my heart out. I will pray for your piggies and I hope that with your care and love and all our prayers they will all recover quickly. <3<3

I wish you the best of luck Amy!

You guys are great. Thanks so much for the well wishes. I'm not sure when I'll hear back about the bloodwork on Fuzzy, but hopefully before the weekend. I will keep you updated. If warranted, we are going to try and send Fuzzy Lumkins and Kirk to Angell Memorial, though we may need to do a fundraiser. We'll see, I guess.

Well, please keep us informed. I'm sure that if you need some help in the fundraising area, I can pony up a few dollars to send your way. Let us know. Fuzzy and Kirk are just TOO precious. And I just love George with his all white.

George is going in at 8:30 AM. Please, please keep him in your thoughts!

Hugs and kisses going George's way..and yours.

I'll be keeping these little guys in my thoughts. I hope all of them get well enough to find new homes.

George made it through the surgery! We did give him a half dose of torb so he is slowly waking up. I have photos but I am off to take him to my friend for monitoring and sub-q's since I have to work tonight and tomorrow morning. If I have time before work when I get back I'll post them otherwise not until tonight. The stone was HUGE!!!!

I have metacam for pain, and he's continueing his antibiotics. Whew!! Please wish him good thoughts for recovering!

I am so happy he made it through the surgery and hopefully he will make a speedy recovery. What a terrible ordeal for such a sweet little guy.
