Towels Washing towels and mattress pads

I have been using fleece with a layer of towel and mattress pad underneath which I find brilliant. I always wash my fleece in sensitive washing powder with white vinegar and usually wash my towels and mattress pads with it. What I wanted to know was would it be ok to wash my towels and pads in normal washing powder with soft rinse as it would save me money and I wouldn't need to rush with the washing then?

If you wash your towels with regular detergent they can smell it through the fleece. I would wash your towel and mattress pad with your fleece or at least with the same washing powder.

I've never washed my fleece, towels, and mattress pads in anything other than regular detergent and neither I nor the pigs have had any problems. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what "soft rinse" is. Is that the same as fabric softener in the US? If so, I don't use that at all.

What kind of mattress pad is it that your using? I was planning on using something washable and padded under my feece but I am not sure what. I want to make the bottom level of my cage more comfortable for the girls.

I use regular laundry detergent for all my pig stuff. I just put it through an extra rinse cycle. They've never had problems.
