I've never bothered about vitamin C tablets before, but I don't want to take any chances now. Do you just give them ordinary human ones?

I got mine from the vets often, but I only use them when the pigs are sick or there's an emergency. They actually hate the taste of it, so I have to force it down.

There aere oxbow vitamin C tablets. They are kinda expensive but if you only give it once a week like I do, they last a long time.

But oxbow is only available in the U.S (I think).

I think you are fine if you give them enough veggies, ect. I have heard using normal human tablets. Probably check over on GL.

You can use 100mg plain vitamin C tablets cut in half or 250mg tablets cut into fifths. If your piggies won't chew them up you can crush them and sprinkle it on their veggies. There is also the liquid version that does not go into the water but is given directly to the piggies. It can be purchased at a health food store and given with a syringe.

Give your piggies Furry Friends pellets. That has vitamin C in it and my pig likes it, too.

I give them human vitamin C tablets I got from a health food store. They are 100 mil and I cut them up in fours. So each piggy gets 25 mil. They are fruit flavored and they look forward to them. Its like a treat. Its for my piece of mind. I'm sure they are getting enought Vitamin C but just in case.

I only supplement in times of illness when a bit extra may give them a boost. I use an absolutely plain human supplement, which I grind up with a pestle and mortar and sprinkle the appropriate portion on to a bit of cucumber or something.

If you feed a good range of fresh veggies, they should get all the Vitamin C they need from there. Plus it's added to most dried feeds - not that I rely on that myself as if the food has been stored incorrectly, it won't be there in the levels stated on the packaging.

I did a search for these "Furry friends pellets" and came up with absolutely nothing.
